TrendyMED Inc. Wins MaRS 2013 Up-Start! Competition

Toronto ON, Canada - On May 15, 2013 TrendyMED Inc. was announced winner of the Eighth Up-Start Competition last Wednesday at MaRS Discovery District.

The Up-Start! Competition is an annual business-pitch competition where attendees of the Entrepreneurship 101 lecture series are invited to present their business cases. This year TrendyMED was selected out of 9 start-ups that made it to the finals.

This past September, Entrepreneurship 101, MaRS’ flagship free weekly lecture series, launched its eighth year with thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs attending live and webcast sessions. The 30-week course covers key topics related to starting a successful business, including funding, marketing, recruiting, intellectual property and more. The course culminates in the Up-Start! Competition - a business plan competition in which selected participants compete to win a cash prize.
