TrendyMED Inc. wins 2nd place award at the Sanofi Pasteur Venture Challenge 2012

The 6th annual Sanofi Pasteur Venture Challenge brought together MBA students from Schulich and innovators with an early stage product or service that is applicable for the healthcare industry to compete through 3 stages of competition for over $10,000 worth of prizes, including Business Advisory Services offered through VentureLAB. The Top 5 finalist teams pitched their commercialization plan to a panel of industry experts. The winners were selected and announced live at this event! Some of the keynote speakers and presenters at the event were Minister Brad Duguid, Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development and Innovation and Ric Spence, former editor and publisher of PROFIT, The Magazine for Canadian Entrepreneurs. This competition is designed to test the real-world applicability of tomorrow’s scientific achievements. It fosters and encourages promising innovators and business students, and develops an appetite for health sciences commercialization in Ontario and strengthens the relationship between these two dynamic communities. The challenge was awarded for the commercialization plans, which were most likely to get healthcare products and services out of labs and into commercial markets.
